Call for Papers - Climate Change adaptation in the Danube Region
EUSDR PA5 coordination is intent to collect the results of finalized or ongoing research projects and best practices within the Danube basin in the field of climate change adaptation. Therefore the priority area is planning to finance in 2018 a Thematic Issue 'Climate Change Adaptation in the Danube Region' of the Journal of Environmental Geography.
All related academic research papers are welcomed!

DriDanube project first year review and regional training on drought risk assessment
The 3rd project meeting of DriDanube have been held in Belgrade between 28/2/2018 - 2/3/2018 hosted by the Republic Hydrometeorologic Institute of Serbia, where EUSDR PA5 was also represented by the expert of the Hungarian coordination. Project partner training on drought risk assessment and the first year review of project implementation were also included to the agenda.

DTP Capitalization Handbook
In the past months, the Danube Transnational Programme (DTP) Managing Authority/Joint Secretariat carried out an analysis of the first year implementation of the DTP Capitalisation Strategy.
The results of the analysis confirmed the positive direction taken by the Thematic Poles and the strong cooperation established with the EUSDR PACs.
Now a DTP Capitalisation Handbook was prepared to provide answers to the questions of the pole members and other project owners.

EEA and Norway Grants Fund for Regional Cooperation have been launched - submit your proposal!
Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway - have increased their funding (EEA and Norway Grants 2014-2021 period) to promote cross-border and transnational cooperation as a key driver to find shared solutions to Europe’s common challenges. The new Fund for Regional Cooperation was launched in Norway House in Brussels 24 January 2018. A total of €34.5 million has been allocated to this fund. In the first call for project proposals €15 million is made available for projects. The territorial scope of the Fund covers 12 Danube countries. Applicants are invited to submit a project concept no later than 1st of July 2018.

European Cooperation in Science & Technology (COST) is an EU-funded programme that enables researchers to set up their interdisciplinary research networks in Europe and beyond. Provides funds for organising conferences, meetings, training schools, short scientific exchanges or other networking activities in a wide range of scientific topics e.g in flood management. The current collection date is at the 20th of April 2018

European Civil Protection Forum 2018 with EUSDR PA5contribution
We are pleased to announce that registration for the 2018 European Civil Protection Forum “Civil Protection in a Changing Risk Landscape” is now open! Conference session "Scaling up Prevention - Cross-border cooperation for effective disaster risk management" will be hosted by the EU macro-regional strategies including EUSDR PA5 coordination. Interested parties are able to register until 9 February 2018.
